Thomas P. Benson, CPA, CFFA, Managing Director of the consulting and business advisory firm Vineyard Group, LLC has announced the launch of its initial service team.
The new firm is an affiliate of Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro (BWB), P.C., the largest certified public accounting firm in the southwestern NY with offices in Jamestown and Olean.
Thomas P. Benson, CPA, CFFA has successfully completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) to earn the designation of Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA). As a result of this accomplishment, Mr. Benson joins a group of only fifty experienced professionals worldwide who have achieved the CFFA level.
Joining Mr. Benson are: Jack Whipple, CPA, a Certified Valuation Analyst of Olean; Norma Lombardo, CPA, a Certified Valuation Analyst of Lakewood; Scott Reed, CPA, a Certified Fraud Deterrence Analyst of Allegany; and Mike Staley, CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner of Olean.
Specialized services offered by the Vineyard Group team include an array of management advisory services: ownership transition services including business valuations, mergers, acquisitions and sales; litigation support services including damage claim calculations, expert testimony, mediation and settlement structuring, fraud deterrence and investigation, and emerging business services including business planning and financing.
In the litigation arena, support services are often necessary in situations of contract disputes, employment issues, personal injury or wrongful death, business disruption, dissenting shareholder actions, divorce, and partner disputes. Accordingly, support services may include damage claim calculations, business valuations, expert testimony, mediation and settlement structuring, and pre trail and in court technical consulting.
